Our office in Singapore, under its brand new name, Nordisk Legal Services Pte Ltd, hosted an "Offshore Talk" on Wednesday 9 June.

About 40 members, clients and otherwise interested persons had signed up and the informal meeting was well received. Among the issues addressed were Malaysian and Indonesian rules on cabotage rules and registration of vessels and companies in these countries, all of which very topical for Singapore offshore interests. Certain problems and possible solutions in relation to taxes, off hire, purchase options and refund guarantees were also highlighted.

The plan is to have yet another Offshore Talk in the early autumn.
